On June 23 the CFP-E/shots Young Director Award will be returning to The Cannes Marriott Theatre, after a year’s absence, to celebrate the 19th YDA ceremony.
In addition the YDA can announce that, for the first time, there will be a panel discussion around the theme of Virtual Reality and associated technology, which will take place prior to the award-giving ceremony.
Supported by Google, this panel will be chaired by shots Editor, Danny Edwards, who will be joined on stage by several soon-to-be-announced experts in VR technology, to discuss the current and future impact that VR can have on the advertising industry:
– JESSICA BRILLHART VR filmmaker at Google
– ROMAIN CHASSAING director at Solab Picture
– SIMON GOSLING CEO at Happy Finish
– ERIC DELAFOY Communication & business development at Nightshift
– LUKE RITCHIE head of nexus interactive arts
To make sure that those attending the talk can fully appreciate the discussion, and the technology, Google will be offering each audience member a pair of their Cardboard Glasses.
